On Christmas eve, we enjoyed a LOVELY sleigh ride as a family at Stonewall Farms, a picturesque farm in Southwestern New Hampshire. They have many educational and creative programs during the winter and summer for residents to learn about agriculture, animals, and crafts. We had a 45-minute sleigh ride pulled by two draft horses, Magic and Prince, on actual steel runners. We got moving at a nice clip and the snow was flying! The weather was perfect and fun was had by all. Afterwards, we went to the lodge for hot chocolate and treats. We then explored the barns, and saw the dairy complete with two newborn calves. What a wonderful Christmas eve! In the evening, we went to a hymn sing/service at Pilgrim Pines which concluded with "Silent Night" to candelight. It was a beautiful and sacred way to remember why we celebrate Christmas, Christ's birth. We spent Friday through Monday in New Hampshire at Kai, Jennifer, and Zacharys. Christmas morning is a delight with a 6-year old! We had a delicious turkey dinner in the evening and enjoyed catching up on each other's lives. The next few days were rainy, we were disappointed to not have any snow. Monday we returned to Connecticut to visit Steven's home and other family members.
