Eating has been touch and go with all the travelling. We have gotten gags, sour faces, and refusal to the following: avocado, apples, and peas. Butternut squash is, so far, a winner. Bananas are growing on him. Not to be graphic, but we had a funny parental moment the other day. Since beginning solid foods, Benjamins stools have changed a bit. He had bananas a few times and about 24 hours later we noticed what we thought were worms in his diaper. We panicked and called doctors and friends that we knew to get some advice (we had difficulty reaching anyone due to the holidays). After doing some research on the internet, we discovered that what we thought was worms was undigested banana! It seems that we are not the first set of parents to panic. Apparently, as infants' digestive system matures, they process more and more of the content of food. In the beginning this content can pass right on through. Gross. We're just glad he doesn't have worms!!!
