Ben's First Day of School

Twice Ben went to preschool this week as a trial run for the real deal. We will miss the first week of school as we are on vacation, so it was great for him to go and experience what it will be like. We're so excited about his preschool! Miss Millie (our nanny's sister) is beginning a preschool in her home. It is a Spanish Montessori school and is so wonderful. Millie is an angel, so calm and kind with the children. Ben comes back so relaxed and happy after being with her. It is a unique opportunity and one that is a good fit for Ben's personality. I got a lump in my throat noticing how grown up he seems all of a sudden...he is so incredibly dear.

We must be gluttons for punishment...

We began more work on our home, trying to make continual improvements to its' value. Saturday Steven began the demo on our upstairs (guest) bathroom, one of the last major things left to do on our home. Sigh. I am not ready for the dust, the setbacks, the unexpected crazy things our previous owners did poorly. It is all worth it, the stress is not easy for me in the interim. Here are some photos of the before and the demo....the final product is coming, stay tuned. I sure will miss the ugly fake wood toilet seat that "sighs" when you sit on it, the horrible vanity and mirror and the gross brown tub...

It won't be long now....

We got Abigail a baby doll stroller for a belated birthday present. She loves it. And I mean truly loves it! Since receiving it, she takes her baby doll for a ride and is subsequently much closer to walking. Today, I caught her standing up and down by herself. Check it out...
