The Business of Being Born

There is a new documentary coming out this week called The Business of Being Born. Ricki Lake, former talk-show host, helped produce it after a dissatisfying birth experience. The trailer looks amazing and I cannot wait to see it! I am going to try and post the trailer here, you may also visit the movie's website. Check it out...this is exactly what every woman needs to know about OB care in this country. Despite the vast amount of money we spend on obstetrics in this country, it has NOT improved the outcomes for mothers and babies. I am proud to be a midwife, trying to make a difference in women's lives at this crucial time of life.
