We (Steven mostly) began working on our basement tear down last week. The ceiling is now down to the beams, which just, uh, exposes all of the mess which the previous owners have left to us: plumbing and electrical nightmares galore. We should have known better than to go looking :) Hopefully all of the improvements we make will not only improve our quality of living, but also improve the value of our home. We will begin the plumbing work soon and the electrical will hopefully soon follow. We will then install new lights in the ceiling, a dishwasher upstairs, new drywall on the ceiling, and eventually carpet. I am already having pregnant-mom panic about this project extending closer and closer to the birth of this baby....I thought we swore last time to never do this again during pregnancy. There's nothing like a little motivation to make it happen, yes?
