The last 7 days have been some of our most challenging yet...all because of a little thing called a cold. Benjamin began waking up last Monday every two hours...this lasted for three nights. By Wednesday we were zombies, we could hardly see straight, let alone go to work!!! He has had the sniffles and a mild cough for about 2 weeks, and Monday he began pulling on his ears. We think he may have an ear infection, but we really didn't want to go the route of antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. He never had a fever, so we just treated his symptoms with Motrin, homeopathic remedies, and comfort. Ironically, I think I spent about $50 on all the comfort measures (vaporizer, medication, etc.). He woke up yesterday doing much better and last night slept 12 hours (with a 1 hour feeding break in the middle). We are all feeling like a million bucks one week later. Its amazing how a little sleep can improve my outlook on life considerably.
