This is our new baby who is now inside my uterus! I'm now 13 weeks and am just starting come out of the fog of sleep deprivation, frequent gagging, and generally feeling gross. We are thrilled to be pregnant again, and scared of what life will be like with 2 children! Its already insane, and we know it will be even more insane and great all at the same time. We feel overwhelmed at this opportunity to have another baby, especially since so many we know have struggled (or are struggling) with infertility or pregnancy loss. This time I have been much more guarded and aware of the possibility of loss. I am thankful for every day I have to be pregnant, despite the fatigue and other challenging symptoms. Our due date is July 1st, a few weeks after Ben's second birthday. When I first found out our news, I felt a wave of happiness as well as fear, given our difficult birth last time. I have come to terms with it, and pray that this experience will be different, and better, as it most likely will. We will be returning to the practice where I worked and with whom Ben was born.
