It sure would stink to be a Rhino living in Illinois

Today we visited Brookfield Zoo with Sally and Francis. My camera wasn't working well, so all I got was this lovely picture of a rhino. I felt sorry for him, pacing around outside in 40 degree weather. He had this huge pen, but had worn a small track in the dirt in a corner of the pen. He was probably cold, since his natural habitat is probably about 100 degrees. The zoo was fun, though, and will be great when Ben gets older. My favorite was the monkey house...it looked like a really cool place to live if you had to live in a zoo. The gorrillas were really amazing. I enjoyed watching a mother gorrilla playing with her baby. Although I feel sad for the animals, I appreciate the fact that we can see such magnificent animals up close and personal. I'd like to think that these animals were incapable of living in the wild or something like that...
